Court House

The Court House is a complex of buildings which were for several hundred years a palace of the Bishops of Winchester, the curia, of farm headquarters, from which the land farmed or let by the Diocese was managed and the Hall in which the local family or staff of the Bishops lived and worked and in which Courts were held which administered the stage. The present dwelling house was built in the early 17th century and was the farmhouse from which one of the most important farms in East Meon was managed.
