1890 sale map of South Farm with crops listed for each field
Estate maps from sales particulars provide a great deal of detail of the farms and large estate sales from the end of the 19th century onwards. The largest sale took place in 953 when the estate of Countess Peel sold over 10,000 acres of land in the valley.
