The little girl on the steps of Barnards is Hazel Goddard, now Pamplin. Herbie Goddard, her father, was dubbed 'The Mayor of East Meon'.
Numerous photographs which have been collected showing different aspects of the severe flooding which took place in East Meon before the river was re-engineered in the mid-1950s.
