This shows the dedication of the new War Memorial commissioned by Rev. Thomas Heywood Masters and designed by Ninian Comper. y 11923, Masters was no longer vicar of East Meon and it is not known whether the clergyman to the left of the memorial is Masters or his successor Rev Crawley.
The War Memorial in the High Street was designed by Ninian Comper and opened in 1923. Comper also designed the East Window inn All Saints Church as a war memorial, depicting the patron saints of the countries which joined in the war against the Germans.
